My name is Maira and I am majoring in psychology. I want to be a part of the Institute because I have a passion for helping migrant students. I want to be able to offer my insight and my friendship. The interesting things about me are all the miracles I have been able to witness, such as all the near death experience my dad has had. Another example is that my sister was born with a condition that could have killed her or left her paralyzed, but she is literally a walking miracle. I too live by miracle; I had a tumor that was removed just in time to avoid any serious consequences. Many things in life have helped me come to a realization that every day is a miracle.
